My name is Andrew Mackinnon and I have been involved in the marine industry since childhood growing up in a long time fishing family, based in the seaside town of Sorrento on the shores of Port Phillip, where ships pass just a two miles from land!
Fast forward to present, where I find myself involved in shipping with regular work as a small ships master for various companies in and around Melbourne and Port Phillip, always with camera at the ready.
My great pleasure when finished working on vessels is to get out in my boat on days off and take photos of ships in the vast expanse of Port Phillip or on the banks of the River Yarra in Melbourne, I also have various ship images from Singapore and Hong Kong.
